Magnets in the food industry
Magnets are vital in the food industry to remove foreign magnetic particles like ferrous contaminates from your material to ensure your factory complies with the food safety standards at all times.
- All magnets used in the food industry must be designed within the HACCP 0909MAGSEP 1-2020 standard.
- All magnets must undergo a yearly validations which check the condition of your magnets and their efficiencies.

- Inferior magnets pose massive risks to your company in the form of:
- Product contamination, Product recalls, Consumer injuries, Equipment damage and Loss of product.
- It is recommended that all magnets in the food industries have 10 000 Surface Gauss.
- The pole spacing on grid type magnets may not exceed 23mm.
- The minimum coverage allowed is 80%
